Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Warehouse Manager to oversee a state-of-the-art distribution center in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. Lead a large team, drive safety, efficiency, and cost control while implementing WMS and automation.

Collaborate across procurement, transport, and customer service to maintain top service levels. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in SCM (preferred), 10+ years in warehouse leadership, and expertise in Lean/Six Sigma, budgeting, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Admin or related field preferred.
• 10+ years in warehouse management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience managing large, complex distribution centers.
• Expertise in WMS, automation, Lean/Six Sigma.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking and problem-solving.
• Robust financial management and budgeting skills.
• Proven ability to motivate high-performing teams and communicate with stakeholders.
• Willingness to work in hybrid model and relocate to Stellenbosch.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all warehouse operations (receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, inventory).
• Develop strategic plans to improve efficiency, throughput and service levels.
• Lead and develop warehouse supervisors and staff.
• Maintain health, safety, and security standards.
• Monitor KPIs and drive data-driven improvements.
• Manage budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee WMS implementation and automation optimization.
• Collaborate with procurement, transportation and customer service.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.
