Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Business Admin, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of venue ops management for major sporting events.
• Experience in staffing, security, health and safety for high-profile events.
• Strong leadership and delegation skills.
• Budget development and financial oversight.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of local regulations for events.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all operational aspects of the venue before, during, and after major sporting events.
• Develop and implement detailed operational plans, including staffing schedules, security arrangements, and logistical requirements.
• Manage and coordinate all venue services, including catering, cleaning, technical support, and waste management.
• Ensure health, safety, and security regulations are adhered to, conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Lead, train, and supervise a large team of event staff, volunteers, and contractors.
• Manage relationships with venue stakeholders, including local authorities, emergency services, and suppliers.
• Oversee the setup and breakdown of event infrastructure, ensuring all requirements are met on time and within budget.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs and ensuring financial efficiency.
• Implement effective crowd management strategies to ensure patron safety and a positive experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively as they arise during events.
