Placements24 is seeking an Event Operations Manager in Rustenburg, North West to oversee planning, execution, and management of all events at the motorsports venue. You will coordinate with internal departments and external vendors, ensuring safety, budgets, and profitable delivery of diverse events.

The role requires 4+ years in event management, strong project, vendor, and leadership skills, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in event management, preferably in a large venue.
• Ability to manage diverse events with complex logistics.
• Strong project management, deadlines, and multitasking.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• Proficiency with event management software and MS Office.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Business Admin, or related field preferred.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of all events at the venue.
• Develop event plans with timelines, budgets, staffing, security, and tech needs.
• Coordinate with marketing, sales, operations, F&B, and external vendors.
• Manage on-site operations and troubleshoot issues for attendee safety.
• Oversee venue setup and breakdown per safety standards and policies.
• Develop and manage event budgets, monitor expenses, ensure profitability.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and gather feedback for improvement.
• Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and authorities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, licensing regulations.
• Schedule event staff and volunteers as needed.
