Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior UX/UI Designer in Midrand to shape user experiences for cutting-edge digital products. You will translate complex user needs into intuitive interfaces and collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders from concept to launch.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years in UX/UI, a strong portfolio, and proficiency in Figma, Sketch, and the Adobe Creative Suite. Experience in Agile environments and front-end basics is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, CS, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Proficient in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator) or similar.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design, usability heuristics, and interaction design.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Excellent visual design skills with typography, color, and layout.
• Able to communicate design ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in Agile development environment.
• Familiarity with front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies, usability heuristics, and interaction design principles.
• Experience conducting various forms of user research and usability testing.
• Excellent visual design skills with a strong sense of typography, color, and layout.
