Placements24 is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer in Polokwane to lead design, planning, and analysis of complex projects including roads, highways, and public transport infrastructure. The role requires mentoring staff, managing deliverables, and contributing to growth in Limpopo and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree with Pr Eng registration, 7+ years in transportation, and expertise in traffic modeling and CAD tools.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; a Master's degree in Transportation Engineering is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA.
• 7+ years in transportation engineering, with design and project management focus.
• Experience in traffic analysis and simulation software (VISSIM, SIDRA).
• Strong knowledge of geometric design, road safety standards, and pavements.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and planning of rural and urban roads, highways, and interchanges.
• Conduct traffic impact studies, modeling, and capacity analyses.
• Develop geometric designs, pavement designs, and intersection layouts.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate with clients, authorities, and stakeholders for approvals.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Oversee construction supervision and quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with SANS and industry standards.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Contribute to business development and client relations.
