Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst, SOC Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
• Hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
• Proficiency in analyzing security logs and event data.
• Experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Knowledge of incident response frameworks and methodologies.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, GIAC) are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in a fully remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls) for threats.
• Analyze security alerts and logs to triage incidents.
• Conduct forensic analysis of breaches and prepare detailed incident reports.
• Develop threat detection rules, signatures, and hunting methodologies.
• Respond to security incidents, coordinating containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security controls and best practices.
• Participate in security awareness training and contribute to policy development.
• Recommend and implement enhancements to security tools and technologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of security operations processes and procedures with the remote team.
