Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Thermal Engineer to join our advanced engineering team in a remote-first capacity. You will design, analyze, and optimize thermal systems for complex applications, leveraging heat transfer expertise to ensure reliable performance.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Thermal Sciences or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in thermal engineering, design and analysis.
• Proficiency in thermal analysis software and CFD tools.
• Strong knowledge of heat transfer, fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
• Experience with experimental thermal testing and data acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of thermal management systems (heat sinks, heat exchangers, cooling solutions).
• Perform detailed thermal analysis and simulations using ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL.
• Validate simulation results through experimental testing and data analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal solutions into product designs.
• Develop testing protocols and procedures for thermal performance evaluation.
• Identify opportunities for thermal performance improvements and cost optimization.
• Mentor junior engineers and share expertise in thermal engineering principles.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in thermal management.
