Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecoms Infrastructure Manager in Polokwane, Limpopo, to lead the planning, deployment, operation and maintenance of critical telecom infrastructure. The role combines hands-on leadership with strategic oversight of core networks, data centres and transmission systems.

You will manage a team of engineers, drive cost-effective deployments, ensure SLAs are met, and collaborate across departments to align infrastructure with business goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in telecoms infrastructure management with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical/Telecom/Computer Science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of core network technologies, SDH/OTN and data centre infra.
• Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure projects and teams.
• Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent financial acumen with budget and vendor management experience.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Limpopo telecom landscape and hybrid work arrangements.
