Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecoms Infrastructure Engineer for a leading telecommunications operator in Kimberley. The role covers design, deployment, and optimization of core network infrastructure, including fiber, microwave, and data center facilities, with a hybrid work arrangement.

You will lead projects, develop specifications, oversee upgrades, and mentor junior engineers, ensuring security, reliability, and regulatory compliance across the Northern Cape.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure design, deployment, and management.

Mansioni

• Design, deploy, and maintain core telecommunications infrastructure, including transmission systems, data networks, and power systems.
• Develop technical specifications and architecture blueprints for new network deployments and upgrades.
• Oversee the implementation of hardware and software upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
• Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning for the network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to network hardware, transmission, and connectivity.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
