Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
- 10+ years in telecommunications with at least 5 in solutions architecture or senior network design.
- Deep understanding of IP networking, MPLS, SD-WAN, 5G, cloud networking and UC.
- Proven ability to design highly available and disaster-resilient networks.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and architecture of complex telecom solutions across voice, data, and converged networks.
- Evaluate new technologies and vendor solutions, recommending adoption and integration.
- Develop detailed specs, design docs, and implementation plans for network projects.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations for deployment and support.
- Provide expert guidance to internal teams and external partners.
- Assess capacity and performance, recommending upgrades to meet future demands in Cape Town.
