Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Telecoms Engineer specializing in fiber optics to lead design, deployment, and optimization of networks in the Vereeniging area. You will drive high-speed connectivity projects and mentor engineering teams in a hybrid work model.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications and have 7+ years of telecom network experience with fiber optics, including FTTx, DWDM, and PON technologies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Extensive 7+ years in telecom network engineering with a focus on fiber optics.
• Knowledge of FTTx, DWDM, and PON technologies.
• Experience with planning tools and optical simulation software.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities
