Placements24 in East London is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Solutions Specialist to design and present tailored enterprise telecom solutions. You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to translate client needs into integrated services, including fiber optics, cloud connectivity, and managed networks.

The role requires strong communication, deep technical expertise in TCP/IP, VPNs, and VoIP, and the ability to map business challenges to scalable technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a solutions architect, pre-sales engineer, or similar technical consulting role within the telecommunications industry.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPNs), fiber optic technologies, and cloud services.
• Experience with unified communications, VoIP, and managed services is highly desirable.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to understand business challenges and map them to technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in creating technical documentation and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client business requirements and translate them into effective telecommunications solutions.
• Design and propose integrated solutions encompassing fiber optic connectivity, VoIP, data services, cloud integration, and managed network services.
• Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations to prospective and existing clients.
• Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible and aligned with company offerings.
• Develop high-level solution designs, including network diagrams and technical specifications.
• Act as a technical liaison between the sales team and internal technical departments.
• Provide pre-sales technical support and respond to RFPs (Requests for Proposal).
• Stay current with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emergent telecommunications technologies.
• Assist in defining product roadmaps based on market feedback and client requirements.
