Placements24 is seeking a Senior Network Security Specialist to protect our client's telecoms infrastructure in Kimberley. You will design, implement, and manage security solutions, respond to incidents, and stay ahead of vulnerabilities in a high-stakes environment.

The role requires a minimum of 6 years of network security experience in telecommunications, with strong knowledge of security technologies, incident response, and forensics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in network security in telecom environments.
• Proven expertise in security technologies and protocols for large-scale networks.
• Experience with security incident response, threat analysis, and digital forensics.
• Deep understanding of network protocols and emerging telecom threats.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM).
• Monitor network traffic for security breaches and anomalies.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
• Respond to security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery, and participate in post-incident analysis.
