Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecoms Network Architect in Vereeniging to lead the design and evolution of the enterprise telecoms infrastructure. You will shape high-level blueprints, roadmaps, and scalable networks across on-site and remote work environments.

The role requires strategic leadership, deep IP networking and cloud networking expertise, and the ability to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture.
• Deep understanding of IP networking, routing protocols, MPLS, SDN, NFV, and cloud networking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the overall telecoms network architecture across all network layers.
• Define technology strategies, standards, and best practices for deployment and operation.
• Lead the design of scalable, resilient, and secure network solutions for new services and upgrades.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on the network architecture.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to network engineering and operations teams.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
