Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a pioneering team in a fully remote role. You will drive concept-to-completion for advanced robotic systems, collaborating with a globally distributed team and mentoring junior engineers.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of mechanical design experience, strong CAD/FEA skills (SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS, COMSOL), and a passion for robotics, materials science, and innovative manufacturing techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, robotics or mechatronics.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools (ANSYS, COMSOL).

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization, design and development of complex mechanical systems, focusing on robotic platforms.
• Use CAD software (SolidWorks/CATIA) for 3D modeling, 2D drafting and assemblies.
• Perform structural and thermal analysis, using FEA tools to ensure design integrity.
• Collaborate with electrical, software and manufacturing teams to integrate designs into systems.
• Develop and maintain BOMs and technical documentation.
