Placements24 is seeking a Lead Telecom Systems Architect to define the architectural roadmap for next‑generation telecom services in Centurion, Gauteng. You will translate business requirements into robust blueprints, oversee multi‑system integration, and drive scalable, resilient network platforms.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in telecom design and architecture, deep knowledge of 4G/5G, IP networking, cloud native solutions, SOA and microservices, plus proven leadership of technical teams.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in telecommunications system design and architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of mobile network architectures (4G LTE, 5G NR), IP networking, and cloud computing principles.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices design patterns.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of telecommunication protocols and standards (SIP, Diameter, SS7, TCP/IP).
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing technical teams.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in Centurion, Gauteng or similar technologically advanced urban environments is advantageous.
