Job summary

Apex Group Ltd (UK Branch) in Cape Town seeks a Senior System Implementation Specialist to drive the implementation and ongoing support of Investor Portals. You will oversee client onboarding, system enhancements, and portal configuration to meet business requirements.

You will manage a Portal team, coordinate with vendors, and provide updates to stakeholders while mentoring junior colleagues. A background in finance and project delivery is essential.

Qualifications

• B.Com or similar tertiary business study with IT exposure.
• 3-7 years’ experience in the financial industry (preferable).
• Experience in a fund accounting system advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead junior resources within the Portal team and manage work allocation.
• Oversee client onboarding, system enhancements, and vendor management.
• Provide stakeholder updates to Head of the Portals team.
• Incident resolution and portal configuration maintenance.
• Assist with new client onboardings and system implementation projects.

Description

The Senior System Implementation Specialist is responsible for leading the implementation, support, and continuous improvement of Investor Portal solutions.The role combines technical, business skills, project delivery, vendor management and team leadership to ensure portal platforms effectively meet client and business requirements.Working closely with stakeholders, clients, and technology partners, the successful candidate will oversee client onboarding, system enhancements, operational support, and process optimization while mentoring junior team members.

Job specification

• Team leader – manage junior resources within the Portal team.
• Ensure work allocation.
• Internal business analysis on portal related change requests.
• Vendor management.
• Provide stakeholder updates and feedback including Head of the Portals team.
• Incident resolution and management.
• Analysis of client’s system requirements pre implementation.
• Assist with new clients’ onboardings and new systems implementation projects.
• Provide Business support for ongoing matters on portals.
• Maintain Investor Portals configuration and setup to optimize systems according to business requirements.
• Manage vendors actively for development and enhancements Monitor, troubleshoot and analyze issues within the Investor portals
• Assist in client onboarding and new systems implementation projects
• Assist in training the business users and updating training guides
• Any other duties in the scope of the role that the company requires

Skills Required:

• B.Com or similar tertiary business study with Information Technology exposure
• 3-7 years’ experience within the financial industry (preferable)
• Experience in accounting/ financial sector; An aptitude for working with systems.
• Interest in Technology.
• Experience in a fund accounting system advantageous.
• Project management.
