Job summary

iLaunch in Cape Town seeks a Senior Support Engineer to provide 3rd line VMware infrastructure support in a data centre environment. You will analyze health, perform preventative maintenance and assist with escalations.

The role requires a VCTA-DCV 2024 certification, matric, and at least 10 years’ data centre experience across VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV and Linux KVM, with Veeam and SRM know-how.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is required.
• VCTA-DCV 2024 certification is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience supporting data centre software.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, MS Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV and Linux KVM is required.
• Knowledge of SRM with storage replication, vVols and vRep is required.
• Experience with vRealize Operations and Veeam backup and replication is required.
