Placements24 is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planner to enhance forecasting, inventory control, and S&OP execution from Kimberley. The role drives forecast accuracy, optimizes stock levels, and coordinates production and distribution with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in planning, strong analytical skills, and experience with SAP APO or Kinaxis, delivering cost-efficient supply chain improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or inventory management.
• Proven experience with S&OP processes and execution.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in advanced Excel.
• Experience with supply chain planning software (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle ASCP, Kinaxis).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Experience in manufacturing or consumer goods preferred.
• APICS certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical data, market trends, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams.
• Manage inventory levels across the supply chain to meet service level targets while minimizing holding costs.
• Lead and participate in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and financial plans.
• Plan and schedule production and distribution activities to meet forecasted demand and customer orders.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and potential disruptions.
• Monitor KPIs related to forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and service levels.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of the supply chain plan.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function.
• Utilize supply chain planning software and tools to support planning activities.
• Provide analytical support and insights to senior management on supply chain performance.
