Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic and analytical Supply Chain Planning Manager in Randburg, Gauteng. The role focuses on demand forecasting, inventory management, and supply planning to optimize end-to-end processes and support growth objectives.

The ideal candidate will drive planning models, leverage data and technology, and lead the S&OP process in a hybrid Randburg office environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or inventory management.
• Proven experience leading planning processes, including S&OP.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated supply chain plans (demand, inventory, supply).
• Lead the S&OP process with cross-department alignment.
• Apply advanced forecasting techniques to predict demand.
• Optimize network inventory to balance service levels and costs.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing and logistics for plan execution.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and agility.
• Develop and manage KPIs for supply chain planning.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Provide strategic insights to senior management on operations.
