Placements24 is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planner in Johannesburg to lead end-to-end planning, forecasting, and inventory control. This role requires deep expertise in APS and ERP systems, with a strong focus on cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, forecasting, or inventory management.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Experience with APS/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, trends and promotions.
• Create and execute supply plans to meet forecasted demand while optimizing inventory across the network.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, sales and logistics teams to align activities.
• Manage inventory to minimize costs and obsolescence while ensuring availability.
• Identify disruptions and develop contingency plans.
• Monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory turns and unit cost.
• Utilize APS and ERP systems to support planning.
• Drive continuous improvement for cost savings and efficiency.
• Analyze supplier performance with procurement to ensure reliability and quality.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management.
