Job summary

Permanent in Johannesburg seeks a Supply Chain Management Specialist for Capital Projects (Mega). You will manage procurement for large-scale infrastructure, lead contract negotiations, and ensure alignment with project timelines and governance.

You bring 8+ years in construction procurement, familiarity with FIDIC/NEC3/JBCC, and strong Excel/DB skills to drive tendering, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Commerce in Supply Chain Management or relevant.
• 8+ years in construction procurement, preferably in public sector procurement.
• Experience procuring mega projects contracts (R5B to >R35B).
• Knowledge of FIDIC, NEC3, JBCC contracts.
• Understanding CIDB regulations and standards.
• Knowledge of infrastructure procurement models: EPC, O&M.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and database software.
• Experience in tender administration processes.
• Ability to align procurement with project timelines.
• Prepare procurement strategies with requesting departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory and secretariat support to Bid Evaluation Committees.
• Conduct Expressions of Interest and RFIs as needed.
• Maintain and update Register of Projects (ROP) and Register of Contracts (ROC).
• Prepare procurement strategies in collaboration with requesting departments.
• Procure goods and services within defined timelines as per procurement plan.
• Provide inputs to monthly and quarterly management reporting.
• Support end users in Contract Management and Administration.
• Review variation orders prior to approval.
• Process invoices and issue purchase orders per procedures.
• Contribute to the development of procurement policies, procedures and templates.
