At least 3 mega projects contracts procured (construction) and managed until contract closeout – R5 billion up to over R35 billion spend Minimum of 8 years experience in a construction procurement role preferably within a public sector procurement environment. Knowledge of various forms of contract such as FIDIC, NEC3, JBCC. Demonstrable experience leading technical aspects of infrastructure contract negotiations. Understanding and experience in CIDB regulations and standards. Knowledge of various procurement models for infrastructure such as EPC, O&M Contracts, Employers. Intermediate Excel, Word and database management software. Knowledge of tender administration processes. Ensuring goods and services are procured in alignment with project timelines Conduct market analysis for allocated procurement items. In collaboration with the requesting department prepare procurement strategy for the acquisition of such infrastructure goods and services. Ensure goods and services for Infrastructure procurement are procured within the defined timelines as per the procurement plan, organisational and divisional Balanced Score Card. Procurement of goods and services for requisitions from established panels within the prescribed timelines. Provide advisory and secretariat support to the Bid Evaluation Committees. Conduct Expressions of Interest and RFIs where necessary in accordance with the approved policies and procedures. Management and Regulatory Reporting Provide procurement information for departmental management monthly and quarterly reporting. Internal and External Auditors Reports: Ensure submission of relevant information as requested by auditors within the prescribed timelines.
