Placements24 is seeking a Senior Subsurface Analyst for a technical role in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. The position focuses on interpreting subsurface data, integrating geological and geophysical analyses, and supporting exploration and development activities in the Oil & Gas sector.

The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with Petrel, Kingdom, and GoCAD, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Prior Mpumalanga or similar regional experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or related Earth Science discipline.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and integrate geological, geophysical, and engineering data to build subsurface models.
• Analyze seismic data to identify traps and map reservoir distribution.
• Evaluate well log data for porosity, permeability, and lithology.
• Perform volumetric calculations and uncertainty assessments for reserves.
• Contribute to exploration and development well planning with geological insights.
• Collaborate with engineers and geoscientists to optimize field development.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for management.
