Placements24 presents a Senior Subsea Engineer opportunity with a leading international energy company. This fully remote role focuses on the design, installation, and operation of offshore subsea production systems, coordinating across continents to ensure integrity and efficiency.

You will lead technical reviews, manage equipment specifications, and drive flow assurance and metocean analyses, while mentoring junior engineers in a distributed team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of subsea engineering experience in offshore oil & gas.
• Proven design, procurement, and installation experience for subsea production systems.
• Knowledge of subsea hardware, API/ISO standards and best practices.
• Experience with subsea analysis tools and software.
• Strong flow assurance understanding.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Proven remote collaboration in distributed teams.
• Experience with deepwater operations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of subsea production systems (trees, manifolds, jumpers, umbilicals).
• Develop technical specs and P&IDs for subsea equipment and facilities.
• Perform detailed analyses (stress, fatigue, metocean) for subsea components.
• Oversee interface management with pipelines, structures, and topsides.
• Manage qualification, testing, and verification of subsea equipment.
• Develop and execute subsea installation procedures and operational plans.
• Conduct risk assessments and HAZID studies.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, installation and commissioning.
• Contribute to flow assurance studies for subsea tie-backs.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge.
