Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Subsea Engineer to join an offshore project team. Based near Polokwane for administrative purposes, the role includes significant offshore site responsibilities for subsea production systems from seabed to surface facilities.

You will lead design, installation, and operation efforts on challenging deepwater projects in the energy sector, requiring strong subsea technology understanding and project execution capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of subsea engineering experience offshore.
• Proven design, installation, and commissioning of subsea production systems.
• Experience with subsea hardware and installation vessels.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify subsea equipment including trees, manifolds, umbilicals, and flowlines.
• Develop installation procedures and manage subsea construction activities.
• Perform technical reviews and assurance of subsea system designs.
• Monitor the performance and integrity of installed subsea assets.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations offshore.
