Job summary

Standard Bank Group in South Africa is seeking an experienced Leveraged Finance professional to originate, structure, and monitor Structured Capital transactions. You will lead client engagements from cradle to grave, including due diligence, credit approvals, negotiation, and post-investment monitoring.

The role requires 5–7 years in leveraged lending, strong financial analysis and modelling skills, and a Post Graduate degree with CA preferred.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate Degree in Finance, Legal, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Economics.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred.
• 5–7 years' experience in Leveraged Finance or related lending environment.
• Strong financial analysis, modelling, valuation and credit assessment skills.
• Experience leading client engagements and Structured Capital transactions from cradle to grave.

Responsibilities

• Originate, structure and perform due diligence for Structured Capital transactions.
• Lead transactions from origination to execution and post-investment monitoring.
• Prepare high-quality credit papers, investment proposals and recommendations.
• Present findings to senior stakeholders and approval committees.
