Placements24 seeks a highly analytical Structural Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Paarl, Western Cape. You will focus on structural integrity and mechanical performance of complex systems, conducting analysis, design and testing to ensure safety under various load conditions.

You will apply advanced engineering principles to solve critical challenges and contribute to tests, drawings, specifications and reports for industrial projects in a stable environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical/Civil/Structural Engineering with a mechanical focus.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in structural analysis and mechanical design.
• Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) software such as Abaqus, ANSYS, Cosmos.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Conduct stress, strain, and deformation analysis using FEA for static and dynamic loads.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and construction teams to ensure designs are feasible and correctly implemented.
• Investigate structural failures or performance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant national and international engineering standards and safety regulations.
