Job summary

Placements24 seeks a proficient Structural Civil Engineer to join their Kimberley team in a hybrid role focused on ensuring structural integrity for buildings, bridges, and industrial facilities. You will conduct analyses, develop detailed designs, and ensure compliance with SANS and regulations.

Responsibilities include site inspections, collaboration across disciplines, and delivering compliant technical documentation for approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a strong focus on structural engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency in structural design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, and Prokon.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
• Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations using relevant software.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction and ensure adherence to design requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for submissions and approvals.
• Ensure all designs meet or exceed relevant South African National Standards (SANS) and building regulations.
