Job summary

Placements24 in Stellenbosch seeks a talented Structural Engineer to join our established team. You will design structures for commercial and high-end residential projects, guiding them from concept to construction while ensuring safety and code compliance.

You will work with architects and developers, develop drawings and calculations in Prokon/SAP2000/ETABS, review shop drawings, and provide site support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Professional registration (Pr Eng) is essential.
• Minimum 6 years of post-graduate structural design experience.
• Experience with concrete and steel design for commercial/residential.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for multi-story buildings.
• Produce detailed drawings, calculations, and specs with software.
• Ensure compliance with NBR, SANS, and building codes.
• Collaborate with architects and clients throughout project phases.
• Provide site support, RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and inspections.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new developments.
