Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• Pr. Eng. registration with ECSA and eligible for licensure.
• 7–10 years of post-graduate structural design experience.
• Proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro or similar software.
• Strong understanding of applicable building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis for building and infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Ensure designs comply with South African building codes and standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs, and other disciplines for seamless project delivery.
• Review shop drawings and respond to contractor queries during construction.
• Manage project timelines and budgets for structural aspects.
• Conduct site inspections and investigations as required.
• Stay updated on advancements in structural materials and methods.
