Qualifications

• Recognized professional qualification in Beauty Therapy, Somatology, or related spa therapy discipline.
• 6+ years progressively in spa therapy with at least 2 years in a senior/supervisory capacity.
• Expertise across advanced facials, deep tissue, aromatherapy, body therapies.
• Proven ability to coordinate schedules and manage a team of therapists.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Perform a comprehensive range of spa treatments (facials, massages, body wraps, exfoliation, beauty treatments).
• Coordinate daily schedule for spa therapists; optimize resources and minimize guest wait times.
• Conduct client consultations; assess needs; recommend treatments; explain care.

Key Responsibilities

Perform a comprehensive range of spa treatments, including facials, massages, body wraps, exfoliation, and beauty treatments. Coordinate the daily schedule for all spa therapists, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and minimal wait times for guests. Conduct client consultations to assess needs, recommend appropriate treatments, and explain pre-and post-treatment care. Oversee the maintenance of treatment rooms, ensuring they are impeccably clean, well-stocked, and serene. Manage inventory of spa products and supplies, placing orders as needed and monitoring stock levels. Train and mentor junior spa therapists, providing guidance on techniques and service standards. Handle guest inquiries, bookings, and feedback with professionalism and efficiency. Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols within the spa environment. Assist in developing new treatment protocols and promoting spa packages. Contribute to sales by recommending retail products that complement guest treatments. Conduct remote administrative tasks and client follow-ups on designated days.

Requirements

A recognized professional qualification in Beauty Therapy, Somatology, or a related spa therapy discipline. A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience as a spa therapist, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity. Expertise in a wide variety of spa treatments, including advanced facials, deep tissue massage, aromatherapy, and body therapies. Proven ability to coordinate schedules and manage a team of therapists. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management skills. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. A professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a luxury spa environment. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required in Mossel Bay, Western Cape .
