Job summary

Level Up - Your Talent Partner is seeking a Senior Technical Draughtsman in Germiston to translate design concepts into detailed manufacturing drawings for steel and timber shopfitting fixtures. The role requires strong SolidWorks skills in 2D and 3D and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.

You will prepare Bills of Quantities, cutting lists, and CNC programmes, while supporting project managers and production teams to ensure drawings align with client specifications and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in SolidWorks for 2D and 3D drawings.
• Strong knowledge of steel and timber manufacturing processes.
• Ability to prepare Bills of Quantities, cutting lists and CNC programmes.
• Familiar with technical specs, tolerances and material properties.
• Able to translate concepts into detailed drawings.
• Own reliable transport and able to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, renders and client inputs to create manufacturing drawings.
• Develop accurate SolidWorks designs in 2D and 3D formats.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities and cutting lists.
• Create and optimise CNC programmes from drawings.
• Ensure drawings meet client specs and standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, production and QA.
• Review drawings for accuracy before submission.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies; contribute to standards.
