Placements24 is seeking a Lead Solar PV Project Manager to lead utility-scale and commercial PV initiatives in the Tembisa, Gauteng region. You will manage end-to-end development, construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and high quality standards.

The role requires 8+ years in energy project management, strong solar PV knowledge, leadership and stakeholder management. PMP is highly desirable; travel within Gauteng as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years of progressive project management experience in energy, with solar PV focus.
• PMP certification is desirable.
• Experience with EPC contracts and project finance basics.
• Proficient in scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera P6).

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of Solar PV project development from feasibility to operation.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, budgets, timelines and risks.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Oversee EPC contractors and ensure safety, quality and milestones.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and manage changes.
• Prepare regular status reports for senior management.
• Foster strong client and community relationships.
