Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead solar PV projects from concept to handover in the Gauteng region. You will drive scope, schedule, budget and risk management while coordinating with clients, EPC contractors and regulators.

You bring a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 6+ years of PM experience (4+ in renewables), and familiarity with PMI/PRINCE2 methods. A PMP certification is a plus and you thrive in a fast-moving green energy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Project Management.
• Minimum 6 years of project management experience, with 4+ years in renewable energy.
• Experience managing solar PV projects from initiation to closure.
• Knowledge of PMI or PRINCE2 project management methodologies.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling and risk management capabilities.
• Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with SA regulatory frameworks and permitting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of solar PV projects from planning to handover.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules and track progress.
• Identify and mitigate risks; implement contingency plans.
• Coordinate with clients, EPC contractors, suppliers and regulators.
• Ensure safety, environmental and quality standards compliance.
• Oversee EPC contractor selection and management.
• Conduct site inspections and progress meetings; report to senior management.
