The Senior Test Analyst is a key leadership role responsible for driving quality assurance across complex project initiatives. This position balances hands‑on testing expertise with strategic planning, team mentorship, and quality governance. The ideal candidate will ensure that software delivery meets the highest standards by managing end-to-end testing lifecycles, optimizing automation efforts, and fostering strong collaborative relationships with technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Test Leadership & Planning:

Lead the definition and execution of comprehensive test strategies, plans, and approaches for complex releases. Analyze business and technical requirements to ensure maximum test coverage. Estimate testing efforts, identify project risks, and provide input into delivery planning. Ensure all testing activities strictly align with organizational quality standards and industry best practices.

Test Design & Execution:

Design, review, and maintain high-quality test scenarios, cases, and data. Execute and oversee functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing. Guide and support test automation efforts, identifying opportunities for efficiency and process optimization. Integrate non-functional testing requirements, such as performance, security, and usability, into the testing roadmap.

Defect & Quality Management:

Manage the end-to-end defect lifecycle, ensuring clear logging, prioritization, and timely resolution. Conduct root cause analysis to recommend systemic quality improvements. Provide actionable "go/no-go" recommendations based on rigorous risk assessments and test outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Mentorship:

Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers. Translate complex testing risks into clear, business‑focused insights for leadership. Provide coordination and support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Coach and mentor junior Test Analysts, reviewing their deliverables and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of software testing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Methodology: Advanced knowledge of SDLC/STLC, Agile (Scrum/SAFe) delivery environments, and various testing methodologies.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Strong experience in API testing (e.g., Postman) and SQL for data validation.
• Practical experience with manual testing and exposure to test automation frameworks.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to manage stakeholders and lead workstreams independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst certification or equivalent.
