Job summary

Blue Pearl PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer – Automation to design, develop, and execute automated and performance testing for cloud-native applications. You will lead testing efforts in an Agile SDLC and mentor test teams while driving quality engineering best practices across the SDLC.

The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise with JavaScript, Kotlin, Selenium, JMeter, and various API testing frameworks, and can design scalable test solutions that ensure reliable software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Kotlin, Selenium, and JMeter.
• Experience leading STLC processes and testing teams.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful and microservices testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API, and cloud-based applications.
• Develop and execute automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Design and implement API tests for RESTful and microservices architectures.
• Validate API functionality, security, and performance requirements.
• Design and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer – Automation with strong expertise in Performance Testing, API Testing, Functional Testing, and Test Automation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated and performance testing solutions across cloud-native applications while ensuring high-quality software delivery within Agile environments.

The ideal candidate must have hands‑on experience with JavaScript, Kotlin, Selenium, JMeter, API testing frameworks, and cloud-based applications. The role requires leadership capabilities, including managing Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes, mentoring test teams, and driving quality engineering best practices throughout the SDLC.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API, and cloud-based applications.
• Develop and execute automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test Design and execute API testing strategies for RESTful and microservices-based applications.
• Develop automated API test scripts using industry-standard API testing frameworks.
• Validate API functionality, security, integration, and performance requirements.
• Design and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.
• Utilize JMeter and other performance testing tools to identify bottlenecks and optimize application performance.
• Analyze performance metrics and provide recommendations for system improvements.
• Produce detailed performance test reports and recommendations.
• Lead and manage testing teams throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications / Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Test Automation Engineering.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and Kotlin.
• Extensive experience with Selenium Automation Frameworks.
• Strong hands‑on experience with JMeter for performance testing.
• Experience using multiple API testing frameworks and tools.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices testing.
• Experience testing cloud-based applications and environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps testing practices.
• Strong understanding of software quality engineering principles.

Methodologies

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience leading STLC teams and testing processes.
