We are seeking a motivated and skilled Software Quality Engineer I with a strong focus on automation to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, implementing, and maintaining robust test automation solutions that ensure the delivery of high-quality software aligned with enterprise standards. This role requires a collaborative individual who can work effectively with cross-functional teams, contribute to agile processes, and drive continuous improvement in our testing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement reusable automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and languages.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance Leads, Developers, Business Analysts, Architects, and Product Owners to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines within DevOps environments.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report defects with detailed information for root cause analysis.
- Contribute to backlog grooming, sprint planning, test estimation, and defining acceptance criteria for user stories.
- Participate in code reviews of automation scripts to ensure adherence to standards, reusability, and scalability.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and contribute to the improvement of the overall testing platform.
- Ensure all test artifacts are properly cataloged, stored, and easily accessible in the repository.
- Identify potential product risks and communicate them with possible mitigation factors to the QA Lead.
- Report daily testing status to the squad.
- Participate actively in retrospective reviews, sprint showcases, and contribute to process improvements for faster, higher-quality delivery.
- Mentor junior Software Test Engineers, sharing knowledge and improving team technical capabilities.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in test automation and software quality.
- Contribute to building a positive and collaborative team culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Experience with development languages such as Java.
- Proven experience in test automation of SOAP and RESTful services.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, RestAssured, Karate, or JMeter.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Experience in logging defects using a defined defect management process and tool.
- Ability to analyze test results and provide clear, concise reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.

- Experience with Mobile Test Automation.
- Basic understanding of Service Virtualization.
- Basic understanding of Data Virtualization.
- Experience or foundational knowledge in Performance and Load Testing.
- Experience or foundational knowledge in Vulnerability Testing.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
- Understanding of test automation within microservices architecture.
