Job summary

Together Staffing group is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Cape Town (V&A Waterfront) with a hybrid 50% work model. The role requires 6+ years of software development experience and strong proficiency across JavaScript, Python, FastAPI, Vue.js and AWS.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, FastAPI, Vue.js, AWS, TDD, database management and external integrations.
• Experience designing and building cloud-based solutions (AWS preferred).
• Strong understanding of backend frameworks (FastAPI essential) and modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js beneficial).
• Experience with architecture design, DevOps practices and scalable systems.
• Ability to work across full stack: cloud services (Terraform + Python), multiple custom front-ends (JS frameworks), Android, and Zoho Creator/Deluge.
• Bachelor’s degree required (no diplomas), with strong academic performance.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience mentoring, coaching and leading developers.
• Experience in test-driven development and resilient system design.
• Must be comfortable owning commercial outcomes, not just coding tasks.
• Hybrid work model (50% in Cape Town) – no fully remote.
