Placements24 seeks a Senior Smart Contract Engineer to lead the design and development of secure contracts for decentralized applications. This role is remote with ties to Sandton, requiring deep blockchain knowledge and expert Solidity/EVM experience.

You will conduct security audits, optimize gas usage, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with product and frontend teams to define contract specifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development, with at least 3 years in smart contracts.
• Expert-level Solidity and Ethereum Virtual Machine experience.
• Strong understanding of cryptography and secure DApp architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy complex smart contracts on multiple platforms.
• Write high-quality, secure code in Solidity, Vyper, or Rust where applicable.
• Conduct security reviews and vulnerability assessments of contracts.
• Collaborate with product managers, front-end developers, and stakeholders to define contract specs.
• Optimize contract performance and gas efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team best practices in Sandton.
