Our client, a leading name in the construction sector, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Site Manager to oversee critical infrastructure projects in and around Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA . Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for large-scale construction projects.
• Oversee and direct all on-site activities, including managing subcontractors, labor, and material procurement.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, building codes, and quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor performance and identify potential issues.
• Liaise effectively with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
• Implement and enforce site safety protocols, conducting risk assessments and ensuring all personnel are trained and compliant.
• Manage resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project efficiency.
• Resolve site-specific issues and conflicts promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.
• Prepare and present regular project status updates to senior management and clients.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management, with a significant portion spent in site management roles.
• Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, commercial buildings).
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations (e.g., OHS Act), and quality standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites within the Queenstown area.
