Placements24 is seeking a skilled Site Manager to lead day-to-day operations on major infrastructure projects around Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. You will direct site activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, materials and best practices.
• Thorough understanding of health and safety legislation (e.g., OHS Act) and site safety management.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all site activities, ensuring efficient progress and resource allocation.
• Develop and implement detailed site execution plans, including schedules, logistics, and staffing.
• Oversee daily operations, monitoring progress against project milestones and timelines.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality of work, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel effectively.
• Liaise with project engineers, consultants, and clients to provide progress updates and resolve site-specific challenges.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, incident logs, and material inventories.

• Ability to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced environment in Durban.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the province.
