Job summary
Placements24 in Mahikeng, North West, is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to oversee all on-site construction activities and ensure projects are delivered on time and to high quality. You will lead subcontractors, monitor progress, enforce safety, and coordinate with clients and consultants on complex civil infrastructure projects.
A bachelor's degree in civil engineering and 7+ years of site management experience are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 7 years experience in site engineering and construction management.
- Proven experience managing large-scale civil projects.
- Professional engineer registration is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily on-site construction operations.
- Coordinate and direct subcontractors and site staff.
- Enforce quality control measures and safety protocols.
- Monitor progress and develop proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed progress reports, logs, weekly summaries and monthly reviews.
- Manage site logistics and procurement of materials, equipment, and plant.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and environmental standards.
- Liaise with clients and consultants to ensure project alignment.
