Placements24 is seeking a hands-on Site Engineer to oversee civil construction activities in Mahikeng. The role focuses on safety, quality, and efficiency while interpreting drawings, coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring projects stay on time and budget.

You will manage resources, enforce regulatory compliance, and maintain daily progress records. A strong background in earthworks, concrete structures, and finishing works is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Engineer or similar construction management role.
• Proven civil construction experience including earthworks, concrete structures and finishing works.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, safety regulations and quality management.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills for site operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project schedules and plans.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications.
• Conduct quality control checks and ensure all work meets required standards and specifications.
• Manage site resources, including labor, materials and equipment, efficiently.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations on the construction site.
• Liaise with project managers, subcontractors and clients to resolve site-related issues.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily progress reports and safety logs.
