About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Site Agent to lead and manage construction sites in the Kimberley region. This role is central to the successful execution of projects, encompassing site establishment, daily operational management, team supervision, and ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of construction methodologies. You will be the key on-site representative, responsible for coordinating resources, managing subcontractors, and ensuring a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of on-site construction activities for civil and building projects.
• Develop and implement site-specific work plans and schedules in coordination with project management.
• Supervise and lead site teams, including foremen, tradespeople, and laborers, ensuring productivity and quality.
• Manage subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to contract terms, project schedules, and safety requirements.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and identify potential risks.
• Manage site resources, including plant, equipment, and materials, ensuring efficient utilization and minimizing waste.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates, and incident logs.
• Resolve on-site issues and technical challenges promptly and effectively.

Requirements

• A National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in a site management or site agent role, with a proven track record in civil and building construction.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and site management techniques.
• Familiarity with South African construction regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet challenging project deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region as needed.
