Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding national contract cleaning and hygiene service provider, is seeking an experienced and meticulous Senior Sanitation Quality Assurance Manager to join their team in Mossel Bay, Western Cape . This critical role will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality assurance programs across all operational sites. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sanitation standards, regulatory compliance, and best practices in the cleaning industry. This position is key to ensuring our client consistently delivers exceptional service quality and maintains its reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and continuously improve a robust quality management system for all cleaning and sanitation services. Conduct regular internal audits and inspections of sites to ensure adherence to established quality standards, procedures, and client specifications. Analyze audit findings, identify root causes of non-compliance, and develop corrective and preventative action plans (CAPAs). Oversee compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, including local by-laws and industry-specific standards. Develop and deliver training programs to operational staff on quality standards, hygiene protocols, and best practices. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service quality and client satisfaction, reporting findings and recommendations to senior management. Manage client feedback mechanisms, investigate complaints, and ensure timely and effective resolution. Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes impacting sanitation quality assurance. Collaborate with operational teams to embed a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all quality assurance activities in Mossel Bay .

Requirements

A minimum of 6 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or auditing, preferably within the cleaning, facilities management, or hospitality sector. Proven experience in developing and implementing quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 principles). In-depth knowledge of sanitation best practices, hygiene standards, and relevant health and safety legislation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong auditing and reporting skills with meticulous attention to detail. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). A relevant tertiary qualification in Quality Management, Environmental Health, or a related field is highly preferred. Ability to travel to various operational sites within the Western Cape region. Demonstrated commitment to upholding high standards and driving continuous improvement.
