Chart Industries (Howden South Africa) seeks a dynamic Sales Engineer to drive business growth in mining and industrial sectors from Johannesburg. You will deliver expert application solutions, manage tender submissions, and coordinate inspections while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering background and 5–7 years of technical sales experience in industrial environments. Proficiency with fan systems, selection software, and MS Office is essential.

Formación

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-7 years technical sales experience in industrial/mining environments.
• Experience with centrifugal and axial fans, and fan selection software.
• Exposure to ventilation fans and heavy engineering.
• Proven track record in executing retrofit and upgrade projects for industrial fan systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – spoken and written.
• Negotiation skills and value-based selling ability.
• Proven knowledge of contracts, preferably NEC and FIDIC Yellow Book.

Responsabilidades

• Sales goals and business growth: maintain existing clients and develop new accounts, secure tenders, and coordinate inspections.
• Documentation: manage sales-to-engineering documentation workflows and ensure alignment with client requirements.
• Reporting: weekly reporting on sales forecasts and industries; plan site visits for aftermarket offerings.
• Customer relations: build long-term relationships, promote Howden products, and collaborate in planning phases.
• Financial accountability: align department actions with the budget expectations.
• Performance drive: accelerate revenue growth by achieving sales targets within AFM sales department.
• Adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley and AX controls.
