Job summary

Helderberg Personnel is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to drive strategic risk management and operational execution across multiple departments, reporting to the Group Risk Manager and collaborating with the Operational Manager, traders, and finance and legal teams to strengthen internal controls and promote risk-informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in risk management or related field.
• Experience in CTRM or commodity trading a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead departmental risk reporting cycles and maintain risk register.
• Support CTRM development and define system requirements.
• Identify opportunities to optimize operations and reduce costs.
• Manage contract lifecycle and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide risk expertise on commodity markets and international trade.
• Oversee insurance coverage and claims processes.
• Develop and monitor SOPs to ensure internal controls.
• Assist debtors risk management and collections.
