Placements24 is seeking a Senior Management Consultant with retail strategy expertise to join our team in Soweto, Gauteng. You will advise retail clients on omnichannel, digital commerce, and customer experience, and lead engagements from strategy to execution.

The role requires deep retail know-how, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate insights into actionable plans while collaborating with senior stakeholders and mentoring junior consultants.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in management consulting or retail strategy.
• Experience in omnichannel, ecommerce and customer experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management.
• Bachelor degree; MBA desirable.
• Willingness to work from Soweto, Gauteng for client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive retail strategies, including market entry, growth, and transformation plans.
• Advise clients on optimizing omnichannel operations, e-commerce strategies, and digital customer engagement.
• Analyze retail market trends, competitive landscapes, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and threats.
• Lead client engagements focused on improving store operations, supply chain efficiency, and merchandising strategies.
• Develop business cases and financial models to support strategic recommendations.
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior retail executives.
• Conduct workshops and present findings and strategic recommendations to client stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior consultants on retail-specific consulting approaches.
• Contribute to the development of the firm's expertise and offerings in the retail sector.
