Job summary

Excellerate JHI is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to lead the technical and operational management of a major retail shopping centre in Johannesburg. You will oversee electrical, HVAC, water systems, solar and energy initiatives, with a hands-on approach to maintenance and contractor management.

You will ensure compliance with safety and statutory requirements, manage Capex projects and budgets, and drive reliability across all building services while maintaining high service standards for

Qualifications

• Relevant degree/diploma in a technical discipline such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years' facilities management experience in large retail environments.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all building services and critical systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Oversee planned and preventive maintenance per schedules.
• Manage contractors and SLAs, budgets and Capex projects.
• Monitor energy use, drive cost-saving initiatives, and ensure safety compliance.
